The Aftermath

The days events caught on film were dramatic enough and to some even exciting, but after the waters subsided the real damage and heartache to homes and businesses was revealed. The larger businesses can survive such a catastrophe but the smaller businesses and

homes suffered badly.

Mud left behind by the floods in the carpark.

PC World was hit the hardest being the lowest store.

The mud got just about everywhere and in everything.

Pets at home no more.

Next with more mud, which was up to 2inches deep at the back of the stores.

The clothes downstairs where 2 tone, the latter being....you've guessed it MUD!

It came out the stores in barrow loads and smelled disgusting!

Cheap washers anyone?

JJB Sports all stock must go.......

.....in the big skips!

The smell in Pets at Home took your breath away, imagine tons of dog & cat food and biscuits all soacking wet!

Just if you were wondering, all pets survived.

The pets may have survived but the stock didn't.

Currys this weeks special offer, upgrade your mudder boards for free! Slight water damage!!

Special offers on Laptaps!

Currys with more smelly mud.

More stock heading for the skip.

Skips still on the street in October.

Alma Street West in Brampton was one of the worst hit areas. This photo is someones front lounge taken last year in August.

Health and saftey at all times, not something you have stuck in your lounge window normally eh?

The street resembled a building site well into October with some houses still not habitable.

Bridge on Park Road just before the floods hit.

Bridge on Park Road 24hours later, now thats a lot of water, lets just pray it never happens again.
