An
ancient custom that's only found in

Well dressing might date back to the
celts, or perhaps even earlier, but
what exactly is it? Well dressing at it's simplest, is the art of decorating springs and wells with pictures made of growing things. Six wells are being dressed in the village of Tissington. They are blessed following a church service in St Mary's Church on 1 May at 11am. Plenty of parking is available-fee payable. Tissington Derbyshire |

Julie Jordan, a mill worker, falls in love with and
marries Billy Bigelow, an uncivilised Carousel barker
but ill-fortune seems to dog them while, Julie's best
friend, Carrie meets and marries the kind and gentle
Enoch Snow, a fisherman. Their future is secure and

This play follows the inexperienced young medical
student Simon Sparrow as he begins his five-year
internship at St. Swithin’s Teaching Hospital where
he continually runs afoul of the irascible head
surgeon Sir Lancelot Sprat. Sparrow's social life is
spiced up when he is taken under the wings of two
student repeaters – Tony Grimsdyke and John Evans,
who’ve flunked their prelims and are seeking a
second chance. The humour is very similar to that of
the famous ‘Carry On’ films and as such has
delighted audiences all over the world for
generations. This brand new production promises to
be no exception as we follow the off duty lives of
the medical students – their happy triumphs and
brave failures, love affairs and parties. This is
comic nostalgia at its very best and is sure to be
as well-loved as the original books, films and
television episodes have become.
Two young men meet on a train; Guy Haines, an
ambitious architect, and Charlie Bruno, a mother
fixated playboy with a taste for danger. As the
train takes them to their destination, the two
travellers speculate upon what it would be like
to commit the perfect murder. The innocent Guy
doesn’t realise that this chance encounter is
“deadly” serious and is dragged into a downward
spiral of nightmarish control when Bruno fulfils
his part of the casual bargain and hounds Guy to
complete the murder circle. This gripping new
stage adaptation of the classic psychological
thriller perfectly captures a growing sense of
claustrophobic terror. A wonderfully thrilling
story with, at times, unbearable suspense that
builds steadily but terrifyingly to the dramatic
and nerve-wracking climax, Strangers on a Train
promises audiences the journey of their lives.
This show features a full evening show paying
tribute to the early days of ‘pure hipswivelling ‘
rock n roll, the ‘68 Come Back Special’ and Elvis's
Las Vegas performances. The serious production
features LEE ‘MEMPHIS’ KING, the UK’s most
successful Elvis impersonator, finalist in “The
Worlds Greatest Elvis” and in the special edition of
“The Weakest Link” both on BBC One TV. With his
outstanding band and singers, his spectacular
recreation of Elvis Presley on stage is a true 'must
see'!! Don't miss it!
