A Bit about DJ-Chris-C

I DJ at the Twisted Pinnacle in Chesterfield, which I`m proud to say has been at the Forefront of getting Modern and Classic Trance and Hard Dance back into the town every week. We have never wavered from our quest to drag the town out of its fixation with Chesney Hawkes and 50 Cent, and are still the only Town Centre venue to play tunes from Armin van Buren to Y-Traxx, Anne Savage to Mauro Picotto every week without fail, never compromising and never selling out in search of the Sheep people`s fast buck. When that clock hits 9.00, we deliver nothing but the finest Trance and Hard Dance of the last ten years.


We are always learning, and always open to new ideas, and we are PROUD to support BluSky in their incredible efforts to offer Clubbers in this town a venue to enjoy until the early hours after we have finished! And proud of the customer base we have built up and delighted that we are their venue of choice for much of a Saturday night!

Chesterfield has now on the verge of a real change, and even at nearly 36 I can feel that there has never been a better time to bring the Good people back to our town!

Ok I f*ck up the odd mix, but we can`t afford Judge Jules. And I defy even him not to make a f*ck up or two in the TP! The main thing is the music is the business!

Yep, I`m an old git, I got into dance in the early 90s and the Rave culture, but when it got stale I was awoken yet again by the Trance years. The 97-2000 period to me was Clubbing`s finest hour, when it was a way of life to people, and this can all come back again, and will come back!

I`ve been DJing for ten years, in that time I`ve played in the UK and abroad, but knowing that there are still hundreds of brilliant people in my town who want a night of real Dance with no R&B or Cheese music, when I took over at the Pinnacle in January 2005 we set out a long term plan, to firstly bring those people back to town who had gone elsewhere and give them the music they want and deserve, and second to educate others that there is more to life than `Floorfillas` and Kanye West. And believe me, it has taken time, but my God it`s worked!

Bolshie, rude, obstinate yes at times, But I`m not too bad a geezer (and still untamed, ladies, if you fancy trying!) but when people come up on a weekend and we have to give them towels and Lynx as they have danced like loons for a couple of hours, we know we are doing what we set out to do!

 If this makes ya wanna reach for ya glow sticks, get your ass down there, you won't be disappointed !!!
